ReplyDeleteWe have arrived in LA - most of us did not get a wink of sleep on the plane and we are now entering over 31 hours awake! We had some team bonding on the Santa Monica pier today - weather was great and Jo has a flash new pair of runners !
ReplyDeleteFirst day in LA resting to overcome jetlag...though nobody has gone to sleep yet. We arrived about 7am local time, by the time we got through customs etc it was about 9am. We travelled to the hotel and checked in, got changed and then caught a bus for sight seeing. Spent the day at Santa Monica and then back to the hotel for some work on our presentations and a beer & wine prior to getting our first sleep in two days. Jo's joggers are flash too.
ReplyDeleteWe had a great day today. We toured Hollywood, drove past the homes of the stars and walked down Rodeo Drive. We went shopping and Jo managed to nearly buy all her family presents, well done Jo. We had the best pizza ever. On our way back to the hotel we missed our bus. We waited for what seemed like ever before we decided to take an express bus back to our hotel (more expensive but well worth it). We all had t-shirts on which were perfectly fine for during the day, but as it got a little later people were looking at us strangly as it was freezing and everyone else had jackets on. We leave for the airport at 5.00am in the morning headed for Greensboro we can't wait.
